I personally give this e-book 4.5 stars. Its greatest strength is also a weakness as it's focused exclusively on Ukraine, especially the city of Kyiv (Kiev in Russian).Having gone abroad several times myself looking for love, the subject of dating abroad and international relationships in general is very much an interest of mine, and I like to get different perspectives on that and compare the authors' experiences with my own.
I wholeheartedly agree with author Rick Kay's suggestion to learn a foreign language. In the Ukraine that would be Russian which is spoken by most of the population and all urbanites living in big cities such as Kyiv.
One thing I'd like to point out is that it's a good idea to have someone meet you at the airport. The author talks about taxi drivers charging foreign tourists more money. They do; I personally call it the gringo value-added tax. The local who meets you at the airport knows what the cab rates are and will bring the driver's price down to an acceptable rate. In addition, she can help you get set up in a hotel or some other place to stay.
One more thing. Nowadays many foreign women want men to visit them within 6 months of first contact and marry them within 6 months of first meeting them face-to-face. Having been in a lengthy international long-distance relationship myself, I can understand not wanting to delay marriage indefinitely. Even so, I think it's a good idea to get to know a foreign woman better by writing, e-mailing, and calling for at least a year before visiting her and meeting her family and friends. If a woman demands you meet her before you're ready (financially or otherwise) and/or stops staying in touch with you after a while, chances are she wasn't the right woman for you in the first place. Good women who are both beautiful and available are out there and are very much worth it when you find one who's devoted to you.
All and all, this is a good guide to dating foreign women, even if it is slanted from many of his experiences having taken place in Kyiv, Ukraine.

I found the book to lack specific advice. The style and information is general and verbous, it feels like the author is just trying to make it longer so he had a book. Because of this it is hard to accept the information is credible. AussieMan
As the CEO of an anti-spam company that blocks a lot of "Russian Bride" spam, I was curious about the subject and one of my staff gifted me this book for my . I expected a silly and trashy book, but found it informative and well written. It covers the reasons why American men seek Russian and other overseas brides. It claims the main reason is that many men seek traditional women (like their mothers and grandmothers) and are turned off by excessive feminism, career women and women who try to act more like men. The premise is that many overseas women are more traditional with a primary goal of being a good at-home wife and mother. Whether you agree with the premises or not, it is a good and relatively short read.
Rick Kay's premise is basically that "Western" men are in an increasingly difficult spot finding good women because of major changes in gender attitudes and economics among other things, and that dating women in other countries is a realistic alternative with several advantages. From my own travel experience I've found that approaching women in foreign countries is generally pretty easy compared to in America, though that's not the same thing as looking for a wife. The book focuses on dating and marriage, and there is some discussion of sex travel as well.
He talks about the traditionally negative connotations of mail order brides and how this is primarily based on perpetuating faulty assumptions and protecting the status quo. A lot of the book is actually dedicated to setting up a foundation for why the dating landscape is so abysmal in America, and how foreign women have a lot to offer in terms of their more traditional attitudes about men, their comfort with dating older guys, and of course their good looks relative to what most men are probably used to settling for. The second half covers the how-to stuff which is more what I'm interested in.
Compared with other dating guides this definitely goes in another direction. He doesn't tell you to be a jerk, use NLP, memorize a bunch of lines or to implement "game" skills etc. I think this will appeal to a lot of guys in that respect since you can basically just be yourself. He does talk about paying closer attention to the way you dress, and there's some pointers in that regard. There are sections on meeting women through various services and agencies, as well as just doing it on your own. I know several guys who have married women they met in Eastern Europe and The Philippines and that's how they met them (in everyday situations, not through paid agencies). He also talks about using the internet to meet women in other countries prior to traveling there. I guess that's kind of obvious, but useful nevertheless. For example, one of the strategies he explains is how to use local dating sites for the areas you're interested in, even though you may not know the language. This gives you access to women that other Western men would not have.
This is a fairly quick read and covers the subject well. I might have liked to see a more detailed discussion of the dating scenes in Asia and Latin America, similar to the section on Ukraine, though I gather that the principles are largely similar. I may just have to do my own field work...
