The More I See You de Piaget Family Lynn Kurland 9780425171073 Books

I loved this time travel. I've read a view of Lynn Kurland's books. Her book titled "This is all I Ask" has been one of my top romance books ever read and I've been reading romance for 40 years.

I loved "The More I See You', and what I loved best was the humor and the interaction between Jessica and Richard. Page by page you can see Richard starting to go from a grumpy so and so to someone who can finally let a little love into his life. The way that Jessica does it was so funny and sweet. She didn't let his grouchiness get in her way which I thought was fabulous.

Right now I am going back through the list of her books for the De Piaget's and the MacLeods to see if I can fine some more to read. I promise you won't be sorry. If you are a time travel lover you will love this book. It's got humor, love, adventure, the bad guy and two fabulous main characters.

The More I See You de Piaget Family Lynn Kurland 9780425171073 Books Reviews

This is a light-weight time travel, historical romance novel that is laced with humor. While the writing is somewhat pedestrian and there is little character development, the story can carry the day, despite some of the historical detail being a bit questionable. The reader need only suspend disbelief to get some enjoyment out of this whimsical book.

When Jessica Blakely, a modern day miss, finds herself mysteriously transported in time to thirteenth century England, little did she know that it would be there that she would meet the man who was to be the love of her life, Richard De Galtres. He is a noble knight who has hardened his heart against love due to his harsh upbringing by a brutal father, until fate conspires to have Richard and Jessica meet and fall in love. How they overcome their differences, as Richard learns to cope with a modern woman and Jessica learns to cope with a medieval man, makes for a story that those who like reading time travel, historical romance novels will enjoy.
Kurlands early works now available for !

I love Lynn Kurland romances.
Give me a haunted castle with a good looking ghost, a feisty lass who visits the Highlands, and secondary ghosts that hang around the castle to help the couple find their way to true love. Throw in Ms. Kurland's sense of humor, and you have a wonderful afternoon to look forward to with this book.
When I first discovered this author, many of her books were not available on the digital format. Because of poor eyesight, I missed out on all of those treasures. I was thrilled to find that many of her earlier books are now available for !
A Kurland romance is like a potato chip....you can't just enjoy one! You have to reach for another as soon as you finish the first!
The most interesting of all the books! Loved Jessica, she was great, very smart, very lovely. I especially liked when she was ready to tackle Kendrick for hitting Richard. That was funny.
Richard was a troubled soul, and he could be mean to people, including Jessica, who had nothing to do with his childhood. I didn't care for that.
Having Richard & Jessica travel to see Robin and some of the old gang was a gigantic plus; I thoroughly enjoyed this entire story, not a dull moment anywhere. Very intense scenes, yet lighthearted too. LOVED IT!
Like all the rest of the Time Travel Stories in this Sedaris ,

Like all the rest of the Time Travel Books in these Stories , this one was no disappointment at all. I very much liked the Hero/Heroin and all the adventure and the visits from some of the delightful Characters from the other Books. I hope there will be no end to these Stories , I so very much enjoy them.

this one was no disappointment. I enjoyed every Page I read. I loved all the
Characters the Hero/Heroin and enjoyed very much the visits of Characters from the past Books. It was a enjoyable read.
I've had this book on my wish list for sometime until now I decided to read it and let me just say my money was well spent. I loved it from the beginning. Everything just zinged for me - it was just perfect in my eyes so much so that I hungered for more. I loved Jessica and Richard together. He harden himself and his heart off from everyone due to his cruel childhood but slowly he opens his heart to Jessica - letting her love him and he love her in return. I loved how when he wanted Jessica to do something or to listen to him, he would always bring up that he was wearing the ring which made him the Lord and the 'boss' of the chambers. And his jealousy that he displayed over her when his friend Kendrick played him a visit was priceless, making him become bossy, possessive, and grumpy. I am so glad that this story had a happy ending and that it swayed the way I was hoping for. I will definitely be checking out more of Lynn Kurland's books that's for sure.
And, that was the case early in this book. Jessica starts out by not even being able to bring herself to voice a protest when her unwanted boyfriend, who she only used for a trip to England, acts obnoxiously, steals her food, carries her upside down, etc. Nope, not one word to him to "stop it". Then, after she has time traveled back to the Middle Ages and is at the complete mercy of the hero, does she even use good sense? No, she deliberately baits him about things like how his serfs are treated and steals his horse upon multiple occasions, things that could have gotten her executed. Eventually she becomes more realistic, but the first two incarnations of her personality were abysmal. That said, I still love Lynn Kurland, so...

Also, this is the first paperback I've read in ages since 95% of my purchases are now in format. The font size and spacing in this book were PAINFUL. I don't think the size is above a 6pt, and likely it was a 4 pt. Just too tiny to bear.

Finally, it was funny to see someone compare this to Diana Gabaldon's time travel books as though Gabaldon created the genre. But, a book that this even more closely resembles is by Jude Deveraux, A Knight In Shining Armor, which predates both Diana Gabaldon and Lynn Kurland. Simply put, there have been more, and earlier, time travel romances than some have read, and that is not a bad thing for any of the authors.
